Organizing Information

woman charting on a see through boardInformation is most useful when it is broken up and stored in individual units that can be put together in different ways as needed . . . put together by logical relationships between the different kinds of information

  • to make it easy to see and understand
  • to make it easy to find and change
  • to make it easy to expand and improve over time
  • basically, to make it easy to work with your information in any way you need to work with it, now and in the future

and also so it can be put together in different ways and organized

  • to show answers to questions about individual pieces of information
  • to show answers about aggregate “big picture” collections of the information
  • to answer new questions whenever they occur

At Maine QIP your information and how you think about it comes first.
